About us

A meeting place of journeys.

Nuggets of Life was born in 2020, when the world stood still and uncertainty filled the air. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, visionary leader Rosemary Mburu saw not just disruption but possibility — the possibility of nurturing a generation that would rise with purpose, resilience and hope.

At its heart, Nuggets of Life is more than a mentorship program. It is a meeting place of journeys. Mentors and mentees come together, united by a shared desire to grow, to discover purpose and to make a meaningful difference in the world around them.

Through stories shared, lessons learned and connections formed — lives begin to shift, and new paths begin to unfold. We are shaping a generation of leaders grounded in values, confident in their identity, bold in their thinking and committed to impact.

One story at a time. One connection at a time. One leader at a time.

Inspired by the lotus

From the mud, we rise.

The lotus blooms from the murkiest waters — and stays radiant. Our work begins where conditions feel hardest, and so does our hope.

"Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world."

— Unknown

"The lotus flower is a reminder of the beauty that comes from change, the magic that a new beginning brings, and the seed of potential that's buried in the most unlikely places."

— Jennifer Williamson

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."

— Marianne Williamson

Inside the work

What it actually looks like.

Living-room circles. Fireside conversations. Notebooks open. Real talk between humans who keep showing up.

Our mandate

Three problems we refuse to ignore.

The exultation of exam scores over the holistic development of the child has yielded a generation deficient of the soft skills needed for life and work. We respond — directly and practically.

Problem · 01 01

A generation deficient of core competences & soft skills

Critical thinking, problem solving, public speaking, professional writing, teamwork, digital literacy, leadership, work ethic, career management and intercultural fluency. We foster all of them.

Problem · 02 02

Inadequate access to mentorship for marketplace transition

A critical barrier to young professionals' transition into the workplace, career growth and networking. We close the gap with real-world insights from experienced professionals — plus workplace etiquette and best practice.

Problem · 03 03

Mental health vulnerabilities tied to youth unemployment

Nearly 4 in 10 youth are jobless despite qualifications — and joblessness is linked to depression and anxiety. We help build resilience, coping skills and the confidence to bounce back.

Program framework

Four pillars.
One whole leader.

A structured, values-driven model that nurtures confident, purpose-driven young leaders — delivered through group sessions, one-on-one mentorship, storytelling and action-based challenges.

Pillar · 01

Identity & Self-Discovery

Know who you are, clarify your values, build a strong sense of purpose.

Pillar · 02

Growth & Capability

Develop the leadership skills — communication, decision-making, resilience, goal-setting.

Pillar · 03

Mentorship & Connection

Build real relationships — trust, accountability and shared learning across the cohort.

Pillar · 04

Purpose & Impact

Translate growth into action — contribute positively to communities and society.
